1. Introduction

Welcome to London Removals. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and services. By accessing our website or booking our services, you agree to abide by these terms. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please refrain from using our services.

2. Definitions

  • "Company" refers to London Removals.
  • "Client" refers to any individual or business using our services.
  • "Services" refers to any removal, packing, storage, or transportation services provided by London Removals.
  • "Goods" refers to any items being moved, packed, or stored.

3. Booking and Confirmation

  • All bookings must be made through our official website, email, or by phone.
  • A confirmation email will be sent once the booking is finalized.
  • Bookings are subject to availability, and we reserve the right to decline any service request.
  • Any changes to bookings must be communicated at least 48 hours before the scheduled service.

4. Pricing and Payment

  • Our pricing is based on factors such as distance, volume of items, and additional services required.
  • All quotes provided are valid for 14 days unless otherwise stated.
  • A deposit may be required to secure a booking.
  • Full payment must be made before or on the day of the move unless otherwise agreed.
  • Late payments may incur additional charges.
  • Payments can be made via credit card, debit card, or bank transfer.

5. Cancellation and Rescheduling

  • Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled move will be fully refunded.
  • Cancellations made within 48 hours of the move will incur a 50% charge.
  • Rescheduling requests must be made at least 48 hours before the original move date.
  • In case of force majeure (e.g., natural disasters, extreme weather), we reserve the right to reschedule the move.

6. Client Responsibilities

  • Clients must provide accurate information regarding the volume of goods to be moved.
  • Clients are responsible for ensuring all items are packed securely unless our packing service is booked.
  • Clients must ensure clear access to both the pickup and delivery locations.
  • Any parking restrictions or permits required must be arranged by the client.
  • Clients must inform us of any fragile or valuable items requiring special handling.

7. Company Responsibilities

  • We will ensure our team arrives on time and performs the service professionally.
  • Our staff will handle goods with care and diligence.
  • We will provide the necessary moving equipment and transport.
  • We will comply with all legal and safety requirements.

8. Liability and Insurance

  • We provide basic liability coverage for all items moved.
  • Additional insurance coverage can be arranged upon request.
  • We are not liable for:
    • Items packed improperly by the client.
    • Damage caused by pre-existing defects or wear and tear.
    • Delays due to unforeseen circumstances (traffic, weather, accidents).
    • Loss of valuable items unless specifically declared and insured.
  • Clients must report any damage within 24 hours of the move.

9. Storage Services

  • Storage services are available upon request and are subject to availability.
  • Clients must provide an inventory list of stored items.
  • Storage fees are charged on a monthly basis.
  • Clients must give at least 7 days' notice to retrieve items from storage.
  • We are not responsible for perishable, hazardous, or illegal items stored with us.

10. Prohibited Items

  • The following items are not allowed in our moving or storage services:
    • Hazardous materials (flammable, explosive, toxic substances)
    • Perishable goods (food, plants)
    • Illegal substances or stolen goods
    • Live animals or pets
    • Weapons or firearms

11. Delays and Unforeseen Circumstances

  • We strive to adhere to the agreed schedule but are not responsible for delays due to factors beyond our control, such as:
    • Extreme weather conditions
    • Traffic congestion
    • Road closures
    • Vehicle breakdowns
    • Accidents
  • In the event of a significant delay, we will notify the client as soon as possible.

12. Complaints and Dispute Resolution

  • Clients can raise complaints via email or phone within 48 hours of service completion.
  • We aim to resolve complaints fairly and efficiently.
  • If a resolution cannot be reached, the matter may be escalated to an independent mediator.

13. Privacy and Data Protection

  • We collect personal information necessary for processing bookings and providing services.
  • Client data is kept confidential and is not shared with third parties without consent.
  • We comply with all applicable data protection laws.

14. Amendments to Terms and Conditions

  • London Removals reserves the right to update these terms at any time.
  • Any changes will be posted on our website and will take effect immediately.
  • Continued use of our services implies acceptance of the updated terms.

15. Governing Law

  • These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
  • Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of England.
